It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend Eileen Owen at age 60 years.
Eileen was a beautiful woman with laughter that was contagious and could change anyone’s mood. She greatly enjoyed her bingo, and daily puzzles in her free time.
She is survived by her sons, Sheal Owen (Nicole), Rusty Owen (Brenda), and Morgan Owen (Jayda); daughters Connie Leveque, Bonnie Leveque (Leroy), and Angelita Leveque (Lyle); her brothers Charlie T. Owen and Ivan Owen; sister Sally Moose; and also leaves behind her numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including her many grandchildren who she loved dearly.
She is predeceased by her husband Peter Leveque; daughter Beatrice Owen; brothers Paul Owen, Kenneth Owen, Charlie Peter Owen, and Simon Owen; sisters Isabel Owen, Mary Duck, Janet Pascal, Agnes Pascal, Cecilia Owen, and Betty Owen; as well as numerous other relatives.
Wake service to be held on Tuesday Feb. 24, 2026, from 7pm – 10pm, at Eternal Grace Funerals (10-1111 Logan Ave. Winnipeg MB).
Wake services to continue on Wednesday Feb. 25, 2026, at Bonnie Leveque’s residence in Little Grand Rapids First Nation, then Thursday Feb. 26, 2026, & Friday Feb. 28, 2026, at the Abbalak Thunderswift Memorial School, also in Little Grand Rapids First Nation.
Funeral service to follow on Saturday Feb. 28, 2026, at 11am, also at the Abbalak Thunderswift Memorial School.
Officiating services will be Rev. A. Owen.
Interment to follow in Little Grand Rapids First Nation.
Pallbearers: Rusty Owen, Morgan Owen, Brennan Keeper, Malaki Leveque-Dunsford, Gene Leveque, Brian Dunsford, Leroy Dunsford, and Thadius Leveque.
